3RDA design – What We made for You:
Hoody (thermal shirt with the hood) is the most democratic, casual daily garment ever designed for the chill environment. We at 3RDA made several design and textile adjustments in order to make the hoodie valuable for the daily tasks of first responders EMS/EMT and Tactical. Based on the research We made of the environment first responders operating in, We made a choice of the tough and agile 4-way stretch, shape retaining fabric 100% made in Poland. Its dual surface is engineered for resilience and comfortable warmth with a low friction, abrasion resistant nylon stretch face and velour back. It is a highly breathable and moisture wicking dual purpose base and outer layer. Inner textile surface of the shirt is constructed from velour, making the first responder comfortably warm during the static missions. A premium performance fabric experience. Tough and durable for the most demanding activities of the first responding EMS/EMT & law enforcement tactical. We made a double layer hood from the main textile. This increased head protection from the inclement weather and minor mechanical threats. Deep hood with tighteners is an ideal garment to conceal identity as well, if tactical mission requires. Palms of the first responders are always cold in a chill environment. So We made prolonged cuffs from another base layer type material with thumb and watch holes. Such a design made operators feel comfortable warm in the palms still keeping the level of agility required. Of course We kept utility pockets on both sides. However We moved the pocket opening We made them larger and deeper below the level of the pockets opening. This gave the possibility for first responders to store more duty essentials and not be afraid they will fall out during the movements. Each pocket has a hidden zippered opening for access to the torso. This is a valuable feature when Your duty gear is located under the hoodie and You need hidden access during a law enforcement tactical mission. Additionally such a feature gives an opportunity to put palms on the torso and warm them in such a way, getting a hand warmer feature. Upper arms bottom parts from the elbow are reinforced with durable tactical class stretch material. This design solution helps to prevent increased wear & tear of the main textile, when first responder makes static administrative work.
